Why we built a Merchant of Record that runs payments, billing and risk as one engine — and what launches today.
Why another payments company?
Every software company we talked to ran the same stack: a gateway, a billing platform, a fraud tool, a dunning add-on and an analytics product — five vendors, five invoices, and an engineer who quietly became the payments team. The products were fine. The seams between them were not.
A Merchant of Record collapses those seams, because when one company is the seller in every transaction, checkout, billing, fraud and disputes stop being integrations and start being one system. That is what Morpe is: the payment ops of selling software, operated for you.
What launches today
Morpe launches with the four products that make up the engine: Localized Checkout in 180+ markets, Subscriptions & Billing with trials, seats and usage, Fraud & Chargebacks carried by Morpe as the seller of record, and Real-Time Metrics free with every account.
Pricing is one rate — 5% + 50¢ per transaction — with everything included and no monthly fees. If you don't sell, you don't pay.
What's next
The roadmap is shaped by one question: what else can we take off a seller's plate without taking away control? If you want to shape the answer, book a demo — the people running them are the people building the product.
