How can we help?

Getting started
What is a Merchant of Record?
A Merchant of Record (MoR) is the legal seller in a transaction. When you sell through Morpe, your customer buys from Morpe and Morpe buys from you — so payments, refunds, fraud and disputes sit on our plate while the product stays entirely yours.
How long does it take to go live?
Most sellers are live within days: create an account, complete verification, add a product, and drop the checkout into your site. Migration help is included if you're moving from another stack.
Do I need a registered company to sell?
You can onboard as a business or as an individual, subject to verification. Some product categories require a registered entity — see the acceptable use clause in our Terms and Conditions.
How do I migrate from my current billing provider?
We import your products, plans and — where your current provider allows it — your active subscriptions and card tokens. A payments expert scopes the migration with you; book a call to start.
Payments & payouts
When do I get paid?
Payouts run weekly or monthly — your choice — with all markets, methods and currencies settled into one balance and one bank transfer, accompanied by a reconciled statement.
Which currencies can I get paid out in?
Major payout currencies including USD, EUR and GBP are supported, regardless of what currencies your buyers pay in. Conversion uses the mid-market rate with a transparent margin.
Which payment methods do my buyers see?
Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and local methods like iDEAL, Pix and UPI — 28+ in total, shown automatically based on the buyer's market and device.
Why did a buyer's payment fail?
Most failures are bank declines or 3DS abandonment. Morpe retries soft declines automatically and applies smart routing; the payment's timeline in your dashboard shows exactly what happened.
Subscriptions & billing
Can I offer free trials?
Yes — with or without a card up front. Trials convert automatically at the end of the period, with reminder emails sent where local rules require them.
How does proration work on upgrades?
When a customer changes plan mid-cycle, Morpe calculates the unused portion of the old plan and offsets it against the new one automatically — no manual credits.
Can customers pause or cancel themselves?
Yes. Every subscription has a self-serve management page for pausing, cancelling or changing payment method — reducing your support load and involuntary churn.
What is dunning and how does Morpe handle it?
Dunning is the recovery process after a failed renewal: smart retries, automatic card updates and on-brand emails asking the customer to update their payment method — all automatic.
Checkout
Can the checkout run on my own domain?
Yes — use the hosted checkout on your domain or embed checkout components directly in your site. Branding, colours and logo are yours either way.
Hosted checkout or embedded — which should I use?
Hosted gets you live fastest with zero PCI scope. Embedded gives you full layout control while Morpe still handles the card data. You can switch later without re-integrating products.
Which languages does checkout support?
Checkout localizes automatically into 25+ languages based on the buyer's browser and market, alongside local currency and payment methods.
Can I test checkout before going live?
Yes — sandbox mode mirrors the live checkout with test cards and webhooks, so you can verify your integration end to end before your first real sale.
Fraud & disputes
Who handles chargebacks?
Morpe does, end to end. As Merchant of Record we respond to every dispute, compile evidence automatically and file representment — you see outcomes in the dashboard, not casework.
What happens to my payout during a dispute?
The disputed amount is netted from your balance while the case is open and returned if we win. Dispute and scheme fees are covered by Morpe.
How does Morpe prevent fraud?
Every transaction is scored in milliseconds using signals from across the Morpe network — card testing, stolen cards and velocity abuse are blocked before they settle, with 3DS applied only when needed.
Am I liable for fraud losses?
Transaction risk sits with Morpe as the seller of record. Deliberate abuse of the platform is different — see the Terms and Conditions — but ordinary fraud losses are ours to carry.
Your Morpe account
What does Morpe cost?
5% + 50¢ per successful transaction, with the whole platform included and no monthly fees. Volume discounts start around $50k/month — see pricing.
How do refunds affect fees?
When you refund a sale, the refunded amount is netted from your next payout. Full details are on the pricing page FAQ.
Where do I find statements and payout reports?
Every payout comes with a reconciled gross-to-net statement in your dashboard, exportable as CSV or via the API for your accounting stack.
How do I close my account?
Email [email protected]. Remaining balance is settled after a short reserve period for refunds and disputes, per the Terms and Conditions.
